For mass participation triathlons we recommend using HuTag multisport transponders. Athletes wear these on the ankle with the tag being waterproof. These transponders are a great UHF solution compatible with the Passive System.
Possible timing points are
- Start Check
- Swim In
- Bike Out
- Bike In
- Run Out
At a minimum you’ll need 3 timing points - Swim In, Run Out and Finish – to be able to give athletes splits for the 3 disciplines. Adding a Bike In & Out will produce split times for transitions as well. Timing points out on course can also be added for additional tracking ability.
When preparing for your event, all we require is the range of race numbers that will be used. We then scan the transponders and allocate them to that range of numbers. Nice and simple. Athlete information can then follow just before race day.
